Nia is NorthStar’s Trader/Associate Portfolio Manager and has been with the firm since 2019. As NorthStar’s primary trader for publicly-listed equity and fixed income, Nia works closely with our client-focused team to facilitate the portfolio review and rebalance processes. Nia also conducts research on NorthStar’s buy list companies as a member of the equity research team and provides support and ideas on our shareholder activism pursuits. She is passionate about sustainability, equity for all, and empowering immigrant families.
Prior to joining NorthStar, Nia worked at Wellington Management within the Wellington Funds Group and was part of the inaugural class of Loomis Sayles’ Undergraduate Women’s Investment Network interning under the Alpha Strategies and bank loans team. She holds a B.S. from Bentley University where she was actively involved with the university’s Hoffman Center for Business Ethics. She is currently the events co-chair of the Boston chapter of BASIC and a CFA Level II Candidate.
