Since 2012, NorthStar has been filing shareholder proposals at Intel Corporation to seek better management of its and the company political action committee’s (PAC) political contributions. NorthStar believes that if a company is working towards good-business practices like lowering GHG emissions and protecting its employees by advocating for their safety, then the company political contributions should support and push forward those policies and practices. Despite years of engagement, Intel continues to make contributions to political candidates that NorthStar considers misaligned with company goals.
